Open Call: Fall 2026
We (the plunderludics working group) plan to host an exhibition of plunderludic work in New York City in late November / early December 2026. We would like to invite any interested parties to submit work to be considered for inclusion in the show.
To apply, send your work (ideally as a zipped Windows executable) to plunderludics@protonmail.com, or join the plunderludics Discord and post it there. If you are unable to make a build for some reason but still want to be considered, just get in touch.
We are most interested in games/software that are 'made from' existing games/software. This includes emulation-based or hardware-based plunderludics, romhacks, mods, etc. See some examples here. However, if your work is 'plunderludics adjacent' - for example, machinima videos, recreations of existing games, games made with appropriated assets, or even non-digital games made from other non-digital games - we'd still love to see it.
For making plunderludics, if you're comfortable with Unity you might want to try the UnityHawk tool. Here are a few other tools that might be useful. Any tools or techniques you use are totally welcomed.
Deadline: November 7th, 2026.
The exact date and venue will be determined later in the year.
