Winter 2026 Open Call

We (the plunderludics working group) plan to host an exhibition of plunderludic work in New York City in late 2026. We would like to invite any interested parties to submit work to be considered for inclusion in the show.

To apply, send your work (ideally as a zipped Windows executable) to plunderludics@protonmail.com [todo set this up], or join the plunderludics Discord and post it there. If you are unable to make a build for some reason but still want to be considered, just get in touch.

We are most interested in software/games that are 'made from' existing software/games. This includes emulation-based or hardware-based plunderludics, romhacks, mods, etc. See some examples here. However, if your work is 'plunderludic adjacent' - for example, machinima videos, recreations of existing games, games using appropriated assets, or even non-digital games that are a particularly good fit for the exhibition theme - we'll also consider it.

For making plunderludics, if you're comfortable with Unity you might want to try the UnityHawk tool. But any tools or techniques are totally welcomed.

Deadline: November 1st, 2026.

The exact date and venue will be determined later in the year.
